425-HOUR ELECTROCLASS STATE EPILATION COURSE

Beginners wishing to practice in some US states where the minimum hours required is 425 hours to submit your application for a license.

Our priority is to prepare you to work in the professional electrology industry. Our educators and staff are here to help you learn and develop your soft skills (knowledge, business, and customer service) and your hard skills (technical ability).

The course consists of 425 hours of combined theoretical and practical instruction covering all practices constituting the art of Electrology.  This program complies with the licensure requirements for specific states who require 425 hours of training. Please confirm with your state’s requirements (preferably in writing) before registration.

Illinois Dedicated Electrology Academy is approved to operate by the Private Business and Vocational Schools Division of the Illinois Board of Higher Education.  IDEA is not accredited by a U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting body.

The 200 hours of theory/online training will include a self-paced online 15 modules listed below then an instructor-led virtual training is scheduled:

  • History

  • The Human Body

  • The Skin and its Appendages

  • Ethics

  • Workstation

  • Consultation

  • Hygiene

  • Execution

  • Thermolysis

  • Electrolysis

  • Blend

  • Probes

  • Positioning

  • Marketing

  • Starting your Business

After your self-directed online training is complete above, the instructor-led virtual Zoom training begins.

This course also includes 225 hours of Practical Training.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PROGRAM COMPLETION

In order to be considered for graduation, students completing the 600-hour program must successfully complete the following:

  • Attain 425 or more clock hours.

  • Successfully pass all quizzes and exams with a score of 75% or more.

  • Successfully pass the written final exam and practical final exam.

  • Attain a minimum of 225 practical hours.

  • The practical time will only cover the ACTUAL TREATMENT TIME BY BODY AREA LISTED BELOW:

    • Face: 155 hours

    • Arms: 90 hours

    • Torso: 90 hours

    • Legs: 90 hours

  • We are required to show that you have satisfied all requirements by body area.  That means all the extra time that is needed for:  Sanitation and Sterilization, Consultations, Station set-up and Clean-up, Scheduling appointments, Positioning, are not included in the 425 hours. Credit will not be given for these Pre/Post epilation activities.

    When Student reaches 90 hours of Practical Training

  • 4th Installment Due: $1,780
    When Student reaches 135 hours of Practical Training

  • 5th Installment Due: $1,780
    When Student reaches 180 hours of Practical Training
